>> Performance evaluations are a great way for employees to accomplish their own personal goals [Background Music], as well as keep pace with the company's expectations. Regular evaluations are an opportunity to make employees feel valued, resolve any grievances, and to set new goals. So here are some tips to help prepare for your upcoming evaluation. [ Music ] Number one, review your job description, previously set goals, and any feedback that was given in prior evaluations. Number two, review your activities and accomplishments; what have you achieved since your last evaluation? Keeping notes throughout the year will help make this step easier. Number three, after the review make a list of all your accomplishments. Number four, make a list of areas for development. Be honest about the things you need to work on. Think about your long term career goals and what it might take for you to get there, things like more mentoring or additional classes. Number five, draft a list of new goals for the upcoming period. Number six, don't be defensive; make sure you're open to a little constructive criticism, after all the goal is to make you the best employee that you can be. [ Music ]
